1. Service and operator

ATLAS provides trip planning, maps, passport, collaboration, messaging, discovery and expense splitting tools. The operator and contact details are identified on this page. Bookings or services purchased on external sites are subject to those providers' terms; saving a booking or expense in ATLAS does not purchase that service.

2. Account and access

Provide accurate information, keep contact details current and protect your credentials. Do not use another person's account without permission. You must have legal capacity to accept these terms or obtain any legally required assistance and authorisation. You can link or unlink Google under the conditions shown in account settings while keeping a valid sign-in method.

3. Plans, sharing and collaboration

You control plan visibility and collaborator access. Publishing a plan or route permits access through the corresponding public features. Members with permissions can change shared content and actions. Check invitation recipients and data you publish. Matching trips does not confirm anyone's physical presence or create an agreement between users.

4. Content and rights

You retain rights to content you submit. You authorise ATLAS to host, process and display it as necessary for your sharing choices and the features you use. Only upload content and personal data you may lawfully use. ATLAS branding, software and proprietary materials are not transferred to users; third-party components retain their respective licences.

5. Acceptable use

Harassment, threats, fraud, spam, abusive disclosure of personal data, unlawful content, infringement of third-party rights, bypassing permissions and infrastructure abuse are prohibited. Do not use discovery or location features to monitor or stalk people. Respect the technical and document limits of each plan.

6. Travel safety and estimates

Routes, timings, prices, entry requirements, documents, destination information and automated suggestions may be incomplete or outdated. Verify them with authorities, carriers and service providers. Follow signage, local rules and safety conditions. Budgeting and expense splitting are not banking services or financial advice; recording a balance does not transfer money between participants.

7. Paid plans and manual assignments

Applicable features, prices, billing periods and limits are those shown before purchase. Purchases and subscriptions are verified with the provider. A manual admin assignment is not a payment and may have an expiry date. If access ends, expires or is legitimately revoked, associated benefits may stop, without overriding legal rights relating to real purchases.

8. Renewal, cancellation and refunds

For auto-renewing subscriptions, cancel through the purchase provider identified in your account. Cancelling renewal and deleting an account are separate operations; confirm cancellation with the provider to prevent renewals. Refunds follow applicable law and the provider's process. Statutory withdrawal and digital-service conformity rights remain applicable; legal exceptions depend on required consent and conditions, not merely on using the app.

9. Moderation and review

We may investigate reports, remove content and apply warnings, contact restrictions or suspensions proportionate to violations and risks. Measures may have an end date. You may request reasons or a review through the contact on this page. Applicable legal duties concerning reasons and complaint mechanisms are respected.

10. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service functional, but faults, maintenance and third-party outages may occur. Liability is governed by applicable law; these terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or mandatory consumer rights. ATLAS does not guarantee the suitability of unknown users or that recommendations reflect actual travel conditions.

11. Closure and changes

You can request account deletion in account settings. Some information may be retained as explained in the privacy policy and required by law. Material changes to the service or terms will be communicated appropriately; legally required consent and termination rights are respected.

12. Applicable law and disputes

Portuguese law applies without removing mandatory protections available in your country of residence. Contact us to try to resolve a problem; you may also use competent authorities, courts or legally applicable alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. No jurisdiction clause overrides legally protected rights.
